JASSO Scholarships

The Japan Student Services Organization , also known as JASSO, offers scholarships for overseas students who wish to come to Japan to study for one academic year, and whose home institutions have official affiliation or consortium agreements with the Japanese universities.
Therefore, please carefully note that only those students applying to our Asian Studies Program from the affiliated institutions of Kansai Gaidai are eligible for this scholarship.

Student Exchange Support Program (Scholarship for Short-term study in Japan)
BENEFITS:
- 80,000 yen per month up to twelve months
- 80,000 yen one-time settling-in allowance
IMPORTANT:
Please carefully note that the deadline date for the scholarships is much earlier than our admission deadline dates. Therefore, it is highly advisable for prospective applicants to contact the director or appropriate personnel of the international program at their institutions to obtain necessary information or documents. For those applicants whose institutions are not affiliated with Kansai Gaidai, please refer to the Merit Scholarships for financial assistance.
Kansai Gaidai is not in the position to accept inquiries regarding JASSO Scholarship from any individual student. If you wish to make inquiries about the scholarships, please do so through appropriate official at your home institution.
