Class and final examination cancellation due to an emergency warning or storm warning for Osaka Prefecture

1.
If a weather warning such as an emergency warning (tokubetsu keihō) or a storm warning (bōfu keihō) is announced for any municipality of Osaka Prefecture, the university will determine how to handle classes or final examinations. Emergency warnings shall include heavy rain emergency warning (ōame tokubetsu keihō), heavy snow emergency warning (ōyuki tokubetsu keihō), emergency storm warning (bōfū tokubetsu keihō), snow storm emergency warning (bōfūsetsu tokubetsu keihō), high wave emergency warning (harō tokubetsu keihō), and emergency storm surge warning (takashio tokubetsu keihō).
2.
If the above-mentioned weather warning (hereinafter referred to as “the said warning”) is lifted, the following measures will be in effect for classes or final examinations.
(1)
If the said warning has been lifted before 7:00 a.m., all classes will be held starting from the first period.
(2)
If the said warning has been lifted between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., first and second period classes will be cancelled and classes will be held starting from the third period.
(3)
If the said warning is in effect at 11:00 a.m., classes will be cancelled for the entire day.
(4)
Regulations for final examinations will be stipulated in the Final Examination Regulations.

If a weather warning other than those mentioned above is announced, the university may take measures regarding classes and final examinations it deems necessary.

Class and final examination cancellation due to transportation interruptions caused by an approaching typhoon and the like

If a public transportation system suspends their service due to an approaching typhoon, a natural disaster or an accident, the university will determine how to handle classes and final examinations.
2.
If the above-mentioned suspension of transportation services (hereinafter referred to as “the said suspension”) is lifted, the following measures will be in effect for classes and final examinations.
(1)
If the said suspension has been lifted before 7:00 a.m., all classes will be held starting from the first period.
(2)
If the said suspension has been lifted between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., first and second period classes will be cancelled and classes will be held starting from the third period.
(3)
If the said suspension is in effect at 11:00 a.m., classes will be cancelled for the entire day.
(4)
Regulations for final examinations will be stipulated in the Final Examination
3.
Public transportation systems to which this Article applies include the following:
(1)
Keihan Electric Railway (Main Line)
(2)
JR West Japan (Osaka Loop Line) and Osaka Rapid Electric Tramway (Osaka Metro), in the event that both are simultaneously suspended.
4.
When public transportation systems are scheduled to suspend their services due to an approaching typhoon or storm, the university will announce appropriate measures in accordance with conditions.
5.
The measures in this Article will not apply when transportation services are suspended for only a portion of a system specified in Section 3.

If Keihan Electric Railway in on strike and suspends their services, the university will determine how to handle classes and final examinations.
2.
If the above-mentioned suspension of transportation services (hereinafter referred to as “the said suspension”) is lifted, the following measures will be in effect for classes and final examinations.
(1)
If the said suspension has been lifted before 7:00 a.m., all classes will be held starting from the first period.
(2)
If the said suspension has been lifted between 7:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m., the first and second period classes will be cancelled and classes will be held starting from the third period.
(3)
If the said suspension is in effect at 11:00 a.m., classes will be cancelled for the entire day.
(4)
Regulations for final examinations will be stipulated in the Final Examination Regulations.
