Hi! My name is Emily, and I am a junior. My home university is the University of Colorado in America, but I am spending a year abroad here at Kansai Gaidai! My hobbies are reading, listening to music, shopping, and having fun with my friends and host family. I am living near school in the homestay program.
Since coming to Japan, I have had so much fun. Everyone I have met has been kind. My first impressions of Japan have been great. I love the food here (chicken curry is tasty!), and I am starting to love video games. Whenever I play them with my host brother, I always lose, but I am starting to get better.
Kansai Gaidai has been great. The Japanese classes really make us work hard to keep up. The afternoon lecture courses are also interesting, and can be very demanding. I have joined the koto club in order to learn more about traditional Japanese culture. I love that I go home exhausted every night, because I know I am living each day to the fullest extent possible.
