Following a busy first week of paperwork and registrations, classes are finally in full-swing and the campus is starting to bloom with student life. Residence Hall 1 is becoming more and more like home and the campus is slowly divulging its secrets and hidden gems. Right by the front gate lies a new favourite plant of mine, the Nandina Domestica. The young leaves are red and orange for now, like fire. After discovering the hot drink vending machines in the student lounge of Building 2, an attempt at purchasing a matcha latte resulted in the ordering of a pea soup instead. In any case, both were delicious!

Looking forward to learning much more about the campus, and Japan, in the months ahead.
