This plan encourages exchanges of students within the Consortium.

Kansai Gaidai realizes that it is vital to focus on nearby Asian countries in order to achieve the goals of the "Plan for accepting 300,000 International Students to Japan". To accept more students from Asia, we will change the educational environment and systems. In planning the "ASEAN plus Three: University Consortium," we have followed the model of the "Bologna Declaration project" launched in Europe.

We started the project in 2009 with four Asian countries: the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, the Kingdom of Thailand and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam.

Kansai Gaidai University has a great deal of experience with regard to sending students for study abroad and hosting international students from all over the world. We will expand the network with universities in the ASEAN Plus Three: University Consortium.
