Biography
Seung-Young Kim conducted researched at British universities (Sheffield and Aberdeen) for 15 years before taking up his current post at Kansai Gaidai from 2018. Before his doctoral studies in the US, he worked for 10 years as a diplomatic and UN correspondent (1991-95) for The Chosun Ilbo newspaper in South Korea. He published a monograph on modern US diplomacy toward Northeast Asia and has published widely about diplomacy and statecraft in English and Korean.

Scott Lind is a professor of intercultural communication who has worked in higher education for over three decades in both the U.S. and Japan.
