Diwali -Festivals of Lights-
Diwali is one of the biggest and important festivals in India.
It usually lasts for 5 days and celebrated by millions of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world.
Diwali/ Dipawali means "rows of lighted lamps".
They light outside their homes to symbolize the inner light that protects from spiritual darkness.
Houses, shops and public places are decorated with small oil lamps called diyas.
People also enjoy fireworks and sweets too. Children loves the festival and enjoy the most!
They also have massive dancing festivals. Kids practice their performances for 2-3 months prior to Diwali. Once Diwaliapproaches, they perform their dances in front of their parents and other spectators. Kids of all ages, as well as teenagers take part in these performances.
