On November 20, 2020, a “Japanese Tutoring Center” was hosted by the Language Learning Team to help international students learn Japanese. This time, our invitation was sent to our overseas partner institutions and 13 students participated from all over the world.
They learned pronunciation and grammar on a one-on-one basis from our six local student Teaching Assistants who are enrolled in the Japanese Language Teacher Training Course.
Other local students joined as volunteers, chatting with international students while they were waiting for their turn to have lessons. Although international participants had different levels of Japanese skills, they enjoyed practicing Japanese and interacting with local students.
More unique upcoming events which provide opportunities to interact with local students and international students are scheduled in December.
