In order to sign up for the pick-up service, please provide us with your flight information during the designated period through Kansai Gaidai's on-line application system, GAIDAI-LINK. Unless we receive all the necessary information from you, we cannot guarantee that you will be met by our staff at the pick-up point. If, for any reason, your travel plans change, please let us know as soon as possible.
You must provide us with your arrival information regardless of whether or not you take advantage of our pick-up service. Even if you come to Kansai Gaidai on your own, you need to inform us of when you plan to check into the university accommodation; otherwise, language placement tests and necessary sessions cannot be appropriately arranged.

Students who use our pick-up service can check into their residence hall on that day even after 5:00 pm.
We strongly recommend that you take advantage of our pick-up service in order to ensure your smooth arrival. It is important to note that, given the distance from the above two gateways to Kansai Gaidai, if you are not familiar with Japan’s public transportation system, you will likely encounter some difficulties on the way to Kansai Gaidai. If you use our pick-up service, you will be taken to the area of our university housing and will be guided to your assigned accommodation (to be announced in early January).
If your flight is delayed or arrives after the specified time, please stay overnight near the airport and use our airport pick-up service for the next day.
To students who plan to come to Kansai Gaidai University on their own
- Please check in at your assigned dormitory (to be announced in early January) during 9:00am – 5:00pm. The check-in date and time should be strictly observed. Do not come directly to the CIE office on Nakamiya Campus with your luggage. We will not be able to provide you with transportation to your residence hall.
- Please also note that the gate of all Residence Halls will be completely closed at night. Therefore, no check in is available after 5:00pm. No exception allowed.
